In skin analysis, students will learn the basic skills necessary to assess a client’s skin, which is the more important component of a professional facial treatment. The class is designed to educate beginner students and challenge advanced students teaching skills to enhance the facial treatments they regularly perform.
European Facial Massage
(3 hour class)
When facial massages are performed correctly, they can bring almost guarantee returned business. This DSI course will teach students the skills necessary to perform relaxing facial massages.
Brow Design
(3½ hour class)
Students will learn the skills necessary to provide clientele with fabulous brow services! The course covers proper ways to shape, style, and map the brow area and brown.
Hyperpigmentation
(3½ hour class)
This course covers the causes of pigmentation, and explores the most effective procedures for treating the aging client.
Anatomy of the Skin
(3½ hour class)
Knowledge of the basic components and functions of skin are the backbone of effective clinical treatment. In this course, students will learn key terms and gain a deeper understanding of the body’s largest organ.
Basic Sanitation
(3½ hour class)
Cleanliness in the treatment room is one of the key factors clients expect of aestheticians. This course will cover the methods to properly clean and disinfect implements to remain in compliance with the Virginia State Department of Health and OSHA.
High Frequency and Galvanic Treatments
(3½ hour class)
With DSI’s course, electricity in the treatment room will no longer be intimidating. The utilization of high frequency and galvanic can easily and dramatically increase results by deeply penetrating products and increasing circulation in the skin.
Make-Up Application
(3½ hour class)
This hands-on class includes a Jane Iredale product introduction and explanation as well as the protocol for a basic makeover.
Lash Perms & Lash/Brow Tinting
(3½ hour class)
Students will learn to the art of creating curled lashed and modifying lash/brow color. The course covers technique, consultation, and safety precautions for these delicate areas.
