Becoming a facial specialist, body scrub expert, waxing technician, beauty massage therapist, or laser hair removal technician is well within your reach. Along with the education you will be receiving from DSI Aesthetics, you can find opportunities to immediately begin working within the field. Opportunities for aestheticians-in-training include internships, externships, and part time opportunities.
Internships
Current DSI students can apply for opportunities to work in the field as an apprentice to a licensed professional. Interns will apply their newly-learned skills first-hand in the salon or spa environment. And, they will have the opportunity to assist in real procedures with real clients in a very hands-on way.
Externships
Students can apply for externships, which are like internships but less extensive. Lasting from a few days to a few weeks, students will gain the opportunity to work alongside real professionals in a practical setting.
Part Time Opportunities
Working part-time is a great way for DSI students to secure job opportunities that will supplement their coursework, as well as their income (applies only to Master Aesthetics students).
